Nassau County Police to Implement Road Closures and Bag Checks

As former President Donald Trump prepares to hold a rally in Uniondale, Nassau County on Saturday, authorities are implementing tight security measures to ensure the event remains safe and orderly.

In a statement released on Friday, the Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) announced that several road closures will be in effect around the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, where the rally will be held.

The NCPD also said that attendees will be subject to bag checks upon entry to the Coliseum. Only small bags, such as purses and backpacks, will be permitted inside the venue.

The Trump rally is expected to draw a large crowd, with some estimates suggesting that tens of thousands of people could be in attendance.

The NCPD is urging attendees to arrive early and be prepared for delays due to the security measures.

The rally is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
