Wanderers Earn Hard-Fought Victory
Bolton Wanderers secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Cheltenham Town in a fiercely contested League One encounter.
The Trotters, who have now lost just one of their last seven meetings with Cheltenham, got off to a strong start and created several early chances. Keith Hill's side broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time when Kieran Sadlier's cross found Dion Charles, who headed home from close range.
Cheltenham came out fighting in the second half and pushed hard for an equaliser. The Robins had a great chance to level in the 65th minute when Alfie May found himself through on goal, but his shot was well saved by James Trafford.
Bolton held on resolutely in the closing stages to secure all three points. The win moves Wanderers up to 12th in the League One table, while Cheltenham remain in the relegation zone.
